# For History - Old NCERT for all i.e.

1. Ancient India NCERT (by Ram Sharan Sharma),
2. Medieval India NCERT (by Satish Chandra ) &
3. Modern India NCERT (by Vipin Chandra) + SPECTRUM's "A brief history of MODERN INDIA"

# For Art & Culture - Old NCERT of Fine art

# For Geography - 11th, 12th Old NCERT along with ATLAS e.g. TTK

# For Polity - Laxmikant's Indian Polity book of TMH Publication

# For Economy - SRIRAMs IAS's Indian Economy's printed material

# For Environment & Ecology - Shankar IAS's Environment book

#Magzines - Yojna, Kurukshetra and for current affairs any good magazine like "Vision IAS's Current affairs ", which is available in PDF on its website: http://www.visionias.in/beta/blog/current-affairs

# For Current affairs - "The Hindu" Newspaper + AIR FM News and its other program (if time permits)

# Must see and analysis Previous years question papers (both Prelims & Mains) which are available in market from various publication but "New Vishal Publication" are best.

# For Mains examination answer writing skill matter. So, from right now start writing some short short questions answer.

PHASE - 2 (i.e. after completing basic books)

# For History : after reading NCERT you can prefer some reference books i.e. only selective chapters as per Seenaiah sir of SRIRAMs IAS, which given in following pic's

# For Art & culture : you can read Nitin Singhaniya (51st rank CSE-2012)'s Art & Culture handwritten notes.

# For Geography : after completing NCERT you can prefer some reference book for Mains as Physical Geography's Savindra Singh and Indian Geography's Khullar ( only some selective chapter & topics as per Dr. D.B.Kumar sir of SRIRAMs IAS)

# For Polity : Laxmikant is sufficient

# For Economy : SRIRAMs notes sufficient

# For Environment & Ecology : Shankar's Environment book is sufficient

# For current : you can pickup VISION IAS monthly current affairs

# Along with reading MCQ &Mains answer writing :
 1. For Prelims - In market lot of coachings test series questions papers available. so, pickup & solve them. Don't waste time & money to join prelims test series.
2. For mains - you can join any coaching institute mains test series (I thinks VISION IAS mains test series is best)  because they provides you feedback. So, you can judge yours mistakes and improve yourself.
